This year, the SNC Learning Community teaching team is made up of Kristy, Dani, Andrew, Jennifer, and Ulli. Meet the team!
(and a huge thank you to the students who were able to capture our likeness!)
Hello Everyone, I’m Kristy. I have been teaching at BEPS since 2011. In 2013 I was on family leave, very much enjoying my new role and adventure as a mother to my beautiful daughter Olivia. Along with my love to spend time with my daughter and passion for teaching I also can’t go past a great book, a cheesy dramatic sci-if film and a spontaneous boogie in my lounge room. I look forward to meeting you all and teaching your curious and creative children.
Hi everyone! I’m from a town with two names, some people call it Cabarita Beach but the Bundjalung name for it is Bogangar. It is a small town in Northern NSW near Byron Bay. I have been a teacher for 6 years. I moved to Melbourne about 6 years ago and I love it, there is so much to do, see, and be involved in! Since I have been at BEPS, I have worked in every year level with the majority of my time being spent in 456. I work half the week at BEPS and the other half of the week I work for the Victorian Curriculum Association where my role is to assist teachers with the new Ethical Capability curriculum. I spend my free time doing yoga, reading, dancing, socialising, seeing live shows, snowboarding in the winter and hitting the beach in the summer! I love traveling, ALL kinds of music, nature, and animals. I am also working very hard with the Environment and Sustainability team to help BEPS become even greener! I really look forward to getting to know you all over the course of the year!
Hello BEPS community! Have you ever wondered what job let’s you travel and live in a different country while working, playing and learning from people young and old? My name is Jen Eng and I am doing a teacher exchange from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. I have been teaching for eighteen years and this my second exchange. In my spare time I enjoy tennis, being in nature, collecting owl things, travel and cooking. Please come by and introduce yourself and share something I ought to do while I am in Australia!
Hi everyone! My career now spans 15 years in education; teaching in schools from Tasmania to Saudi Arabia, London to Footscray, Westgarth to BEPS – ‘and…loving it’. I cannot believe that I have been at our fabulous school since 2010! This year I also continue my role as Leading Teacher and ‘Data Guru’ at BEPS. And as well as time with my family, I also love cooking, reading, film, music, writing, playing the piano and guitar – and anything vaguely theatrical! I look forward to getting to know you and your families this year.
Hi everyone, my name is Ulli. Some of you may have seen me in Terra Verde last year. I’ll be in Su Nei Cieli this year offering education support. I’m looking forward to being among the 4, 5 and 6’s and have no doubt its going to be another great year at Beps. See you along the way!
